About

This is a blog created by mother Christine and daughter Camala (C and C) to dish our favorite recipes, talk about food and baking, share pictures of the food we make and dish about anything we feel like.

Camala is NOT a food writer or in Culinary school or has never been in Culinary school, Camala is a stay at home mom with 3 kids: BB, boy; 4 years old, Pinkie, girl; 2 years old and Bino, boy; 6 months old. I love cooking and baking. I love trying different recipes and throwing stuff together on my own. I like simple, quick and easy recipes the best because I don’t want to spend most of my time in the kitchen. I also love to travel with my family so I also blog about family vacationing at www.roadtripfamilystyle.com. I mostly eat healthy food but I also love to eat junk food and decadent food every now and then so there should be a good balance to the recipes featured on this BLOG. The purpose of this blog is to have a place people can look for recipes and know that it is a tried and true recipe they can rely on to serve others and be proud of what they are serving.

My name is Christine (otherwise known as “Camala’s Mom” or “Gramma C”.  Ihave been interested in baking for as long as I can remember; growing up to be a pastry chef for a couple of local restaurants and even owning my own cafe for a short time.  My new interest is in creating healthy, great tasting baked goods and deserts; always tweaking recipes by taking out the sugar and replacing it with honey, maple syrup, molasses, agave nectar, and so on.  I love experimenting with vegan recipes and plan on sharing some of the ones I have tried, and created, in our blog.  I live in beautiful, sunny southwest Florida where there is a variety of fruits that grow here;  like the mango tree in my back yard, and coconut trees on my street.  There is nothing like freshly grated coconut almond muffins right out of the oven on Sunday morning!!!!!   yummy!!!  Hope you have as much fun trying our recipes as we enjoy sharing them with you….  here is a picture of sunset in Naples…
